Project Brief

The client (Molson Flooring & More 茂森地板) is a retail store selling flooring products ranging from hardwood, laminate, engineered, vinyl, tiles, stairs, moulding and trims. They also provide installation services for floorings and stairs. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic and resulting lockdowns, the Molson Flooring's physical store was forced to close, leading to a significant loss. Their customers were not able to go inside the store to visualize and select the product.

In order to let their customers to learn more about their products and continue the sales, they approached us for website design and development that reflects Molson's professionality, allow their customers to browse and visualize products online before making a purchase during the lockdown. The client wanted the website to be user-friendly, easy to navigate, and visually engaging.

How We Work

The website design and development process began with a consultation between the client and the web development team. We gathered information about the Molson Flooring's products, target audience, and goals for the website. We also discussed the Molson Flooring's concerns and challenges related to the pandemic and the closure of their physical store.

Based on this information, we created a design mockup that was focused on showcasing the Molson's products and allowing their customers to visualize them without come to physical store.

Once the design was approved, the web development team began the development phase of the project. They created the website using a content management system (CMS), which allowed the client to easily manage and update the website's content after it was launched.

Results

The website was launched within four weeks of the initial consultation. The response from customers was overwhelmingly positive, and the website quickly became a popular destination for online product references. Over the next few months, the client saw a significant increase in online sales, which helped to offset some of the losses they had experienced during the lockdown.
